What does self-hosted mean for my data?
Nexus runs on infrastructure you control: your server, your VM, your network. The database lives on your hardware. Senroco doesn't hold a copy and doesn't have a backend we can see into. If you self-host, it's genuinely yours.
Is Nexus 21 CFR Part 11 certified?
No, and it's worth being cautious of anyone in this space who claims software can be "certified" to Part 11. There's no such certification to sell. Compliance is a property of your validated process, not a stamp a vendor puts on a product. Nexus is 21 CFR Part 11 aligned: electronic signatures, audit trails, access controls, and record integrity are built in to support the technical controls Part 11 expects. Whether your deployment is compliant is determined by your own validation and quality system: Nexus gives you the features to support that, the compliance itself is yours.
What happens if I don't renew maintenance?
Nothing breaks. Your licence is perpetual, so it doesn't expire and it doesn't drop to a lower tier: you keep your full seat count, every feature, every record, and every version released while your maintenance was active. What stops is new releases and support, until you choose to renew. There is no expiry date in your install and no remote switch on our end.
How do updates work?
While your Maintenance & Support is active, you get every release, and your right to keep using those versions is permanent. Because Nexus runs on your infrastructure, you choose when to apply an update: nothing pushes to your environment without you. For a validated system that's the point, not a limitation.
What counts as a user/seat?
A seat is a named user account belonging to one person. Licences are priced per seat, so you buy exactly as many as your team needs and add more later at the same price. One login per person isn't just our seat count: shared accounts break the unique-identification requirement Part 11 expects, so keeping them personal is what keeps your audit trail defensible.
How do I pay?
Licences are invoiced directly, paid by bank transfer, in euro. One invoice for the licence, then an optional annual maintenance invoice from year two. There's no self-serve checkout yet and we never handle card details. We'll expand payment options as the product matures.
Can you host it for us?
Self-hosted is the default, and where the trust story is strongest. If your team would rather not run the infrastructure at all, ask us: a hosted option is available on request.
What support is included?
Free ships with documentation and release notes, no support SLA. A perpetual licence includes 12 months of email support during business hours, with a 48-business-hour target response, and continues for as long as you keep Maintenance & Support active. Enterprise adds priority support.
Do I need Docker?
Docker is one way to deploy Nexus, not the only one. We also ship native Windows and Linux installers and a desktop app, so you can pick whatever fits your environment.
